This interview dives into the stories and inspiration behind her new album, Meet Me on Broadway. Instagram Other Links GM : Congratulations Lilly on your debut album! Your musical journey began with vocal lessons in sixth grade. Do you remember the first song you performed in front of others, and how did that experience shape your confidence ? Lilly Moss: Yes, funny enough I do! The first song I ever performed live was "Someone Like You" by Adele at my elementary school’s “Barnes and Noble night” where students who wanted to perform were welcomed to while other students and parents watched and shopped around the store. That was definitely my first taste of performing live and I remember being so incredibly nervous and at that time I knew I loved music but didn’t understand the possibility of it being a career. GM: You were diagnosed with leukemia at such a young age... How has that experience shaped who you are today, both as a person and as an artist? LM: Being diagnosed and beating Leukemia at such a young age gave me the mindset of never taking anything for granted. Every opportunity my family and I have been given we take it and give it our best shot as there was a time where I wasn’t allowed to partake in much. This especially transpires into my music career as my family encourages me to take every opportunity just as much as I want to chase my dreams. GM: If there’s one feeling or thought you want listeners to walk away with after hearing this album, what would it be? LM: I think I would want listeners to feel confident. My songs in the album, no matter the topic, essentially talk about taking your power back whether it’s in an unhappy relationship or in wanting to pursue a love interest. I hope my album lights a fire in listeners to be proactive about whatever situation they might be going through. GM: Who are your biggest musical influences at the moment? Which artists do you look up to the most? LM: I have always looked up to Adele so she definitely has to be my original inspiration. Her music and her voice is so powerful and emotional that I only dream of producing music like hers. However another newfound inspiration who I discovered about a year or two ago would be Jason Isbell. His songs, like Adele’s, are pure poetry and I hope one day I can write music like him or maybe even get the opportunity to write with him! GM: Which song on the album was the most difficult to write, and why? Were there any that felt especially cathartic to create? LM: I think the last song that I wrote, “Love Me Loudly” was probably the hardest as I wanted it to be just as great as the rest of the album. It is one of those simpler songs which made it a little more challenging because you had to make just as big an impact with less words. GM: You’re an advocate for pediatric cancer patients and their families. How do you envision using your platform and music to continue supporting this community? LM: One of my favorite things is using my music and my voice to give back to a cause that gave me so much. I hope to continue to grow my platform to be able to reach more people about the Importance of donating to pediatric cancer patients and their families as well as using my music and songs to shed light on the cause. GM: What’s next for you after the album’s release? Any plans for a tour, music videos, or more music on the horizon? LM: Following the release I am excited to continue performing and performing the album. We have a few shows lined up with my full band, the Steel Ponies, where we will be performing the whole album. My first headline show will be on January 11th at 118 North Wayne in Philadelphia, PA which is super exciting! I plan to continue writing and releasing more music, we already have some things in mind... Listen On Spotify

Explore the full gallery capturing Quinn, Georgia, and Lauren’s powerful harmonies, heartfelt performances, and the spirit behind their album “Growing Pains.” Trousdale The Senate, Columbia SC Photos By: Brooke Denton Trousdale, formed in 2014, is a pop-folk band of 3 amazing and talented women!! I had the opportunity to photograph them for their headlining show at The Senate in Columbia, SC. Quinn, Georgia, and Lauren have a stage presence like no other. Sweet, charming, and upbeat! You can tell they’re passionate about the music they create and how they perform. From start to finish, I was entranced by their dreamy vocals and beautiful lyricism. Their new album Growing Pains encapsulates how hard it is to change and grow, but how beautiful that change can be as well. I think “Last Bloom,” which is the final track of the album, really puts it into perspective: “You just cut the flower where the first grew, so what it was will grow into something new.” It’s clear the love they have for music and each other! I’m so glad I got to watch it firsthand. You can listen to Trousdale’s latest album Growing Pains on streaming services now !

  • Adelide EPK | Indie Soul Pop Artist | GRRRL Music

Adelide is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter blending soul-pop, lush guitars, and intimate lyricism. Jazz-trained with new music coming in 2025. Adelide GENRE: Pop RIYL: RAYE, Charlotte Cardin, Daya Recent Releases: 'Too Good For You' 'You'll Be Fine' Adelide is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter crafting a signature brand of soul-pop that weaves coolly personal lyricism with twinkling synthesizers and lush guitars. Her music lives in a world of implied intimacy—like the corner of an old photograph or an overheard conversation—creating space to reimagine and confront the past through haze, fog machines, and strobe lights. Born Kayla Raquel Schwartz and raised in South Florida, Adelide fell in love with music at an early age. A pivotal moment came in first grade with the discovery of an Ella Fitzgerald CD, igniting a lifelong dedication to music and formal study. She began training in piano, guitar, and voice, learning jazz standards alongside the music of artists like Aretha Franklin and Donna Summer. While she initially wrote original pop songs, her focus gradually shifted toward straight-ahead jazz as her technical training deepened. In 2017, Adelide earned a bachelor’s degree in Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance from the Frost School of Music. Though these years were formative in developing professional musicianship, she began to feel that limiting her artistic scope to jazz alone was distancing her from some of the music she loved most. She continued her studies at the New England Conservatory of Music, receiving her master’s degree in Jazz Studies in 2019. It was during her time at NEC that Adelide rediscovered her passion for writing original music, finally merging her technical foundation with long-dormant pop sensibilities. During the pandemic, Adelide reunited with the guitar after a ten-year hiatus, which has since become her primary songwriting tool. With the world paused and creative outlets limited, she wrote the material that would form her self-titled debut EP, released in 2022. Since then, Adelide has maintained a steady stream of singles, with more releases planned for 2025 and a larger project on the horizon.
